Bathroom Basins - Wall Hung Basins, Vanity
Basins, Semi Recessed Basins, Above and Under Counter Basins
Bathroom Basins by Burdens Bathrooms
Bathroom basins can be divided into five different
basic types -
Drop in vanity basins, semi recessed basins, wall hung basins, above
counter basins and under counter basins. Most
bathroom basins in Australia are available with a choice of either one
or three tap holes. Three tap hole basins use conventional basin taps
whereas one tap hole basins require the use of a basin mixer.
Wall Hung Bathroom Basins
Wall
hung basins, as the name implies, are hung directly on the wall.
Smaller wall hung basins are attached using special brackets while
larger wall hung basins rest on a special semi-pedestal. Wall hung
basins may or may not have a pedestal dependent on the size of the
basin as well as the look you're trying to achieve.
Bathroom Vanity Basins
Bathroom
vanity basins are built in bathroom furniture. These full
depth vanity units
provide a large amount of storage but can eat up floor space and "fill"
a small bathroom, in which case a semi-recessed basin solution might be
the answer.
Semi-recessed vanity basins are
designed to protrude from built- in bathroom furniture or benches. The
units are slimmer and neater, but as a result they have reduced storage
capacity.
